Known before as the Lost Horizon of the South, Camotes Island, located at the eastern side of Cebu, is a sight to behold. I and my friends went to the majestic group of islands last 2012 because news had it, that a visit to these islands is never a bore. Cause even when you just sit down and feast your eyes on the sceneries, an interplay of excitement, eagerness, joy, peace, and creativity will sizzle up your innermost being.
So allow me to share with you a glimpse of what I’ve experienced and captured during my visit to Camotes Island, Cebu.

There are different ways to go to Camotes Islands, but we took a bus going to Danao City at North Terminal Station in Cebu City. Upon reaching Danao City, we alighted at Danao City Port and immediately purchased ferry ticket from Jomalia Shipping.

The ferry ride took almost 2 hours.

Upon reaching Camotes Island, we were greeted by the friendly staff of Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort, and escorted us with an electric vehicle to the resort.

We had a little side trip down Danao Lake and enjoyed the kayaking experience there. Some of my companions also went spelunking in the Timobo Caves.

After enjoying the beauty of Camotes Islands, we went back to Cebu City for a quick city tour. We stayed at Crown Regency Cebu and seized their adventure package inclusive of Sky Experience Adventure, Sky Extreme Adventure, Ultima Sharp Shooters Club, and 4D Theater.

A must-try at Cebu City located in Ayala Terraces: HUKAD.

Camotes Island is not lost after all.
